To me it kind of looks like an under developed EXP II.

You’re totally right! I’m sure everyone looking for a bi-colored bezel Rolex would jump ship for a monotoned Seiko. What a killer, I bet the Pepsi waitlists will be down 50% before day’s end!

It's a beautiful watch but "Rolex Pepsi Killer" is a stretch.

It’s really a beautiful watch, but the pepsi GMT is an icon...

.. Sorry to break it to you but that isn't a Pepsi. In fact there isn't anything Pepsi about it. I hate to be the bearer of bad news and apologise if this comes as a surprise.

Whaaaaaat? This is like comparing a Chevy Malibu to a Chevy Corvette, there is absolutely no comparison to be made. One is iconic and the other is well...a Seiko.

How can it be a killer of Rolex GMT Pepsi without a beautiful bi-color rotating bezel? Besides, the GS GMT is entirely invisible in a dark environment.....

This is the Rolex Forum & this thread has the potential to quickly turn into an ugly OP slating match.
I don't imagine one single forum member is going to be in agreement with the original statement.
OP, maybe you would get more sympathy with this thought process over on the TZ forum or Watcheseek or somewhere...anywhere but TRF!
Just sayin' for your own protection.

While I do agree that they are in no way alike, except for analog time and GMT function.

But it is a Grand Seiko, which is immaculately finished.

I get that GS produces great movements but at the end of the day it’s a Seiko. If you like it great but it will NEVER be a Rolex.

Sorry, OP. I don't mean to dispirit you. But this Tudor BB GMT looks much nicer than Seiko GMT. All other members here would choose Tudor over Seiko anytime.

A poor man's Rolex GMT:

The GS is a higher end watch than the GMT II, but the watches aren't remotely comparable in type.

Now if you were looking at the 24 hour bezel GS, they're the same category of watch at least.

It’s a beautiful watch. Congratulations if you have bought it Nothing at all wrong with a Grand Seiko- in many ways as distinguished as Rolex, as good as a Rolex and highly appreciated in Asia.

It has one other huge advantage over a Rolex as well - it’s available.

I can't get past 'but it's a Seiko' either. A finely finished amazing Seiko but still a Seiko none the less - A brand that makes watches ranging from inexpensive China-made all the way up to Rolex-priced masterpieces from Japan. I quite like a Seiko but not enough to pay thousands for one made and finished to haute horology standards. Also more Japanese wear Rolexes anyway. Says something.

It's certainly not a GMT by any stretch , but it is most definitely a quality piece in its own right . GS = Absolute top quality & any watch enthusiast already knows this .

It's a sharp watch for sure. But it's not a Pepsi killer. Not even a Diet Pepsi Killer.
But, that blue hand and that snowflake dial are just gorgeous.
