Rolex Submariner 116610LN used

Hi! I知 currently looking to buy a used Submariner, but since this is my first Rolex purchase, and also as it is a second hand purchase, I want to know what to look out for. Any tips? What price range should I look around? I have checked Chrono24, eBay as well as other websites, but since I知 a newbie I would love some help, and the fact that I知 looking for watches in the EU (a lot of them in Italy) in order to save on the Vat/tax charges makes it a bit harder.
Thank you.

Welcome, you picked a great watch. I would recommend checking the trusted sellers on The Who's who section of the forum and then look at the classifieds. You have to buy the seller. IF you don't trust the seller avoid the deal. Good luck and happy hunting.

Also consider that the TS asking price may be more than they are willing to sell for. As said, buy the seller.

As you are in europe most sellers here are usa based so you risk customs duties when delivered

I suggest that piece is better to buy new at a Rolex Authorized Dealer. Look and you will find one. Pretty much same price as used.

Yeah, I will have a look at an AD and get a quote. Why are there so many sellers located in Italy (seems suspicious)?

If it were so easy to find a new one for that price, the used ones wouldn't cost that price.

Yeah, that痴 the problem. I値l go to an AD to get a quote, but I知 pretty sure it will be over budget. Why are there so many sellers from Italy? Seems suspicious.

Why not just get a new one? If you ask me the prices being asked for used are ridiculous.

That is exactly what I did. After being told there would be months of waiting I did look online at used, only a few hundred cheaper in best case (plus saving sales tax), total savings was under a thousand dollars. The peace of mind of buying from an ad and not having to work with a stranger that痴 miles away and possibly not real on a 10k purchase was so worth the 6 month or so wait for me.
