Icon5 Need Opinions - Project Watch

I've been doing the Watch School course from TZ, and level 1 uses an ETA manual wind movement. I'm just about done with the course, and bought a case, dials, hands, and a strap so I can make the movement into a working watch when I'm done. The course is great, by the way......

I'm looking for opinions on the dial and hand options I have. I have a white dial, and a black dial, and selected two sets of hands from what they had available. One set are rose gold dauphine style, and the other are a blued steel look. I mocked up what the 4 options would look like, and have included them in two posts for your input. Please take the time to view the photos, and vote to let me know what option you prefer!

Thanks, Al

All good combos, Al, but I voted for the white dial with blue hands. Suggest you take Jacqui's opinion too on this one!

IMO white dial nice blued hands, and perhaps the broader blued for the black dial. But myself would use different hands all together on the black dial.

Gotta go with the white dial, gold hands, Al. IMO, that's the sharpest look of the bunch.

In a steel case, blued hands. In a YG case, YG hands or blued hands. No blued hands on a black dial.

I agree with Mike, Daren and Ed - white and gold looks best.

So, thanks for all the replies. I'm a little surprised that no one likes the black dial with the rose gold hands. That was actually the combination that I thought would look best when I ordered all thge parts on line. When I mocked these up, I was surprised how good the white dial with gold hands looked, and I also like the white dial and blue hands. The only one I have ruled out completely is the black dial with blue hands - would be hard to read.

Of course I would love to match the rose gold hands with the same metal case, but that is beyond the budget for this project watch. In reality I didn't plan to case the movement when I was done the course, but it seems a shame to let it sit without doing something with it.

I'm still thinking about it, so any other comments on the choices are welcome.

Thanks!

Al
