Great alternative bracelet for sbdx001
The other night I was messing around changing bracelets on my sbdx001. I had it on a Crafter Blue and I intended to put it back on the OEM oyster. I also have a Strapcode Angus Jubilee. I really like the look of a Jubilee but I often feel that the Angus Jubilee is just to bulky, heavy and blingy for my tastes. I decided to take the Seiko OEM Jubilee meant for an skx013 midsize diver currently on my sbcm023 off the watch. . . and do a little experimenting.
Once I had the bracelet off I used a pair of needle nose plyers to bend the tabs on the "under side" of the folded end links. I held the folded end link top side down on a dish towel with my fingers and bent the tabs up about one millimeter. I then set the end links with the spring bars and bracelet into place between the lugs and applied a little downward pressure just above the tabs on both sides until I heard the spring bars click into place. I was quite surprised how easy it was to do and how well the end links fit to the case (no rattle, no chatter). The lighter flexible OEM Seiko Jubilee looks great on the watch (IMO) and the highly tapered bracelet makes the watch a joy to wear . . . no watch fatigue, less bling and bulk. Super flexyand oh so sexy |

I tried this years ago and I just couldn't get the endlinks adjusted enough. It worked but the lugs were to thick. I believe a jubilee with some custom endlinks would rock on it.

Not my favorite. I like the watch and the bracelet, just not together.
