Since he is a sneakerhead he must be into Jordans. MJs quote "Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, others make it happen." wouldn't be a bad option.

I Wholeheartedly agree. If you’re not read the poem, please do so. Kipling wrote it for his son. The history behind it is very profound. My son was required to memorize his poem by his school. |

If he's into sneakers now, he'll probably fall very hard into watches (guilty myself). But since he's 15 it probably won't happen for another 10-15 years.
Sounds like you are set on getting a quote engraved but honestly I'd rather just skip the engraving all together (your son will appreciate that) or just so his initials and date or something very simple. I'm sure he will never sell it but as a collector myself, I like to keep everything as original as possible. With or without the engraving, it will be a special watch that he will never forget. Throw in a nice card and call it a day. times are very different now. I could never imagine getting a Rolex at 15. I would've

No offense intended but if you have to outsource a "heartfelt" message to your son to a bunch of strangers online you've probably lost the plot. Spend more time and less concern over sneakers and watches with your boy.

Not to judge or rain on the parade OP, but I can think of 100 (at least) different occurrences around those years where having a Rolex is not a good look.......at ALL. Even at school that would become an object of envy and perhaps open the door to bullying/criticism as he obviously didn't buy it himself. but to each his or her own, maybe your son is in a way different environment than I was. |

" Love you, son - Dad"
I would love - at the age of 49 - to have a watch with this inscribed on the back from my Dad. He passed a few years ago and the watch would be just super cool and heartwarming to read right now. Whatever you have printed on there - less is usually more. Keep it simple. |

Thank you for sharing this. I have not read this poem until you suggested it. Will share with my son.

- Post Malone I have no clue what that means, apart from a fine watch that potentially requires intermittent service, but presume it will connect with today’s youth. |

I like this idea. Not sure why so many ridiculous replies. I think his initials and dob would be special. So would something short and sweet like “I love you, Dad.” Please do share what you decide.
And you are a really cool dad to do this :) |

He knows better than to wear something like that to school, I don’t think he will wear to often, it would have to be a really special occasion, probably some sort of family event. He has been in the sneaker game since the age of 13, so he has amassed a nice little following on social media. Yes, these kids now a days are in a different environment from what we knew growing up. With the right motivation and computer skills, they can make as much money as someone with a degree... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
