Need a new watch winder
As the title states- need a new watch wonder as the current one no longer is doing the trick. Do I need to spend $2509+ on a brand name like Wolf? Or can I just get something less expensive from Amazon such as this:
https://www.amazon.com/Adjustable-Up...dDbGljaz10cnVl Winder will sir in my safe at home. Ty |

In my experience - any winder will do the job just as well as another. If this is sitting in your safe, do you even need the nice looking finish and could even get a cheaper version. This is half the price:
XTELARY Automatic Rotate Watch Winder 8+9 Leather Storages https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01L1CN4..._XK1bEbZE0RFVA Mine winds 2 watches and cost £50. No problems for 2 years. One thing you may want to pay for is the adjustable winding electronics. Although mine has no adjustability, I get round this with a £5 timer that tells the winder when you switch on and off. 10 mins to set up at outset and you are away! How many watches do you need wound? If just one then I can recommend the Patek travel winder. I got it from from the London salon. There’s a Patek app - PP cylinder - that you can use to adjust the cycle frequency etc. I highly recommend it.

Is there a link to the Patek winder? One won’t work but maybe this one can sit outside my safe?? Didn’t even know Patek made a winder. |

Need a new watch winder

Yeah.... if you have a dozen watches that you want to store, keep wound and show off then Buben and Zorweg is really awesome. I really like the Patek travel winder that now comes with perpetual calendar models. I couldn’t find info on Patek’s site but you can find some pics here: https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=657027 Also, another modular option is Swiss Kubik: https://www.swisskubik.com/ |

No problem - hopefully it works for a fair few years before giving up! Was going to ask - does your safe have power or some kind of hole for cabling? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Yes. There is power in the safe. This is a cheap enough option that if it doesn’t work, I’ll just throw it away before spending 3-5 grand on a winder that no one will see and will sit in the safe.

I am not a huge fan of cheap anything. Cheap winders dont protect from the internal magnetism of the winder components. Others mimic the average daily usage with stop starts and delays.

I had previously purchased Orbita single watch winders with each watch (through their outlet store: https://www.orbita.com/tag/winder-closeout/) as I rotate daily or every other day between watches and over >10 years, never had a single one break down or any other issue.
As my collection recently grew to >6 watches, it was impractical to have multiple single winders together and instead consolidated into a Barrington 6 watch winder. I've used it for under a year but the finishing is amazing and each station can be individually programmed (multi-directional and variable TPD). https://www.barringtonwatchwinders.c...6-watch-winder |

The winder is going to sit out of sight, locked in a safe. It’s not for display. If it was I’d buy one of the cool ones. |

Unless its a PC or AC with side correctors which easily break or can scratch with a shaky hand why put it on a winder? I see so many simple easy to set watches on winders. Makes no sense to me.

Some of us havent gotten the out of body experience you are meant to have when a true WIS watches his watch manually in the morning to the sound of Handels Messiah ! Look, choose, select go!!
