Hold out for a nicer dot or just go am/pm now and be done with it. |

I dropped my dot dial Pam 233 off at the Houston boutique back in December 2019 for a regular service and I received it back in mid February. A few days after I dropped it off my contact at the boutique sent me the service quote with the recommended services. They wanted to replace the dial, hands, barrel, & sapphire crystal. I immediately called my contact at the boutique and made it clear that I was fine with them replacing the dial, but ONLY if it was going to be replaced with another dot dial. If it was going to be replaced with the AM/PM dial then I wanted to keep my original dot dial. He said he understood and confirmed with the service center that it would be replaced with another dot dial. I received my 233 back a few weeks ago and I couldn’t be happier considering it still has a dot dial! Just wanted to share my recent experience.

I got a brand new am/pm when i made my decision. I personally don't think dot vs am/pm matters, i rather get something with warranty.

I series with no issue here. Watch runs great. Prefer the clean look, hence I got the Dot dial.

Happy to report that I was able to pick up a DOT dial complete set that had recently been serviced by Panerai in OCT 2019. The replaced, barrels, Crystal, strap, hands ETC. should have tomorrow and it will be in the keep pile .
To top it off it’s local Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Well this turned into a crappy day. Listing in Chrono24 stated original warranty paperwork. Watch showed up with the two gray booklets and the service paperwork from Oct 2019, but no OEM warranty card. So back it goes. The search continues

Warranty, yes this is important for me as well, I really don't fancy dropping a large sum of money on a watch with no comeback, so warranty all the way.

1) how does the OEM warranty card work? What kind of warranty does that provide? 2) what kind of condition was the watch in? Did the repairs that were done by Panerai extensive? Thanks, |

Well a K serial came in. Serviced Sept 2019. Dealer I got it from state on the timing machine it was a 0. I get the watch and it’s running 7 seconds fast ever 30min. Down load the app to iPhone and it’s magnetized. We demagnetized and it’s running slow now about 45 seconds throughout the day and alignment of seconds and minutes is slightly off. . So Panerai gets a call on Monday ....

Hi there 1) nothing on a pre owned , only helps with resale 2) very extensive about $1350 worth. But that was inclusive of new crystal and new strap. Overall watch was not as described and pretty beat up. Upper left lug was nicked pretty good. The K serial which is another one was sent off Monday under warranty as it was serviced as well in September. Case is much better it just needs a new bezel and light polish to be 99 percent visually. Also they need to adjust the timing which will most likely be another service but that should be free. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
