Missing Panerai...

Every once in a while, I look at my pile of custom straps, and they look lonely.

I have had two Panerais...a 111 and a 312. Loved the 312 because of the easy change strap system, but HATED setting the date. The 111 was great, but taping up the lugs got old - and the highly polished surface was a scratch magnet.

I am toying with the idea of finding a 177. Love the sammy dial, small seconds, reduced weight of Titanium, and less shine overall.

I have not seen too many of these online...I checked the usual suspect patforms...but not much to see.

Panerai has taken a hit of late in terms of price, popularity etc. but clearly I still like them.

Anyone have a good idea of a good range to pay for a nice 177?

I took a bit of a bath selling my last two Pams...I don’t relish another (bath), but it really doesn’t look like the brand has plummeted price wise.

Thanks

Missing Panerai...

Looking to get into a Panerai myself and the 177 is actually something that I have been observing. From my notes, trusted sellers list them on average at anywhere from $4500 - $5000.

Unfortunately, they don’t pop up very often on our for sale so I am not sure how up to date that price is.

Thanks Nick.

Much appreciated.

Hmm...I guess Panerai hasn't really cratered in terms of pricing. That's not terribly cheap.

Good luck on your search as well.

I love their sandwich dials but somehow ended up with a 005. Like it.

The death of Panerai has been greatly exaggerated.
