Etiquette for working with multiple authorized retailers
Hi all- I’m curious about your take on the ability to work with multiple retailers. I expressed interest in the 6119r with two retailers in my region and was very fortunate to purchase one earlier in the year. I have interest in two or three other time pieces. My question is this: should I update the other retailer to let them know I’ve already purchased the 6119r, and ask to be considered for another watch? Or, commit to working solely with the retailer who procured my 6119r. I don’t want to burn bridges, but understand how challenging it is to be considered for some of these watches. Thank you in advance.

To be honest with the model now with ADs being cut at different times on the spot and burning all customer histories.....I think if any AD delivers the watch other ADs will understand and not fret since the market is relatively hot so no one has issues selling them.

Depends on how much money you want to spend. For a normal person with limited means it’s probably better to focus on one AD and build purchase history over time.

I would work with the AD's that will work with me. I would contact the AD that you did not get the watch from and just tell them you would like to update your preference on a watch. You own them no explanations nor would I tell them about any other acquisitions.

In the ideal world this relationship crap didn't exist.
In your case I would not reveal that that I have signed myself up multiple places, as it in my eyes would be perceived negatively. Rather, I would update my preferences, and continue playing all three - You have nothing to lose |

As already said, just update your preference but tell them nothing more. Where and when you buy your watches is none of their concern.
