Omega New Releases?

I know Omega isn't part of Watches and Wonders. When do they typically announce their new releases?

Thanks!

Normally around this time but Omega is moving away from large releases and is doing releases all throughout the year.

I think it is time for new POs this year, if they come up with thinner sub-40 POs, they will sell very good.

No point in Omega doing any releases, they are yet to supply what they released last year.

normally Omega love one-upping W+W; surprised they are relatively quiet this year. Moonswatch mission to Moonshine was a dud though.

I think their newly introduced spirate technology did exactly that.

I hope they will fine-tune their line and reorganize it in some way this year

Red Speedy 57 announced last year, still no delivery (or blue for that matter). Aqua Terra 38's colors, announced last year, still few to none delivered. Moonwatch Swatch seems to be their priority which is strange as they are only sold thru Swatch stores. As a current owner of a 3861ss, I can only hope they realize that Tudor with the new bracelets and smaller movements is closer to being a threat to them than they think in the $5 - 9k space.

Surely theres some obscure Moon related anniversary they could milk this year?

Maybe the brother of the guy who swept the floor of Apollo 11 is turning 80 this year and there's a new Speedmaster in the works to commemorate it?

Omega New Releases?

Has anyone heard anything more? Has Omega released anything at all? Are they going to?

I don’t understand their marketing efforts…I regularly spend time and money at my local Omega boutique, but rarely hear anything from them. And I can’t remember the last time I got an email from corporate.

Meanwhile, I buy one Tissot online, and one Swatch from a store 3 years ago, and I get emails practically every other day.

My local boutique doesn’t do any direct local advertising, either. Unfortunately, they’re missing huge opportunities to pick up primary and secondary audiences.

Just boggles the mind…

I mean damned if they do and damned if they don't. If there release a minor update or two, everyone blasts them, see they have too many watches.

They don't release anything new, everyone still blasts them for not giving them an opportunity to complain

I have heard from the grapevines that Planet Ocean is being revamped but noone has seen one in the wild neither is there any word from Omega.

Also notably, last years' popular releases are still scarce. Green seamaster, new aqua terras and moonshine speedmaster.

With China (Omega's biggest market) opening up for business again, I think scarcity is perhaps going to increase and they may have a harder time keeping up with the demand for the units previously announced.

As a business owner, I feel its bad business sense to launch new products when a company is having a hard time getting production numbers up on existing catalogue.

Just my 0.02

the new aqua terras are finally starting to pop up here and there. in fact, OCWatchGuy recently had a saffron-colored 38mm on his website, and of course it sold right away.

The Seamaster 300 is a long time due for a tapered bracelet update. I have a feeling it will be this year.

A thin 42mm PO in some nice colours would be killer. It’s time for a new PO surely.
