AP 16202BA vs 15407ST
Wondering between 16202BA and 15407ST which one is relatively easier to get? Knowing they are both extremely rare and difficult to buy from AP boutique. How many watch should be collected from AP before getting one of these 2. Many thanks.

I think both are very difficult to get. For the BA I was told they produced 75 pieces in 2022.

If the SA is even entertaining that wishlist, I’d go big:
15416CE. Double balance wheel black ceramic, followed by the 16202BA. |

As for the 15407ST I would suggest it’s equally rare and uber challenging to be allocated. |

Both are hard. 15407 is probably made in higher numbers but the demand is higher.
Same for 16202ba - lower numbers but demand isn’t as high so all in all both are about the same in difficulty Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

My WAG is that a half dozen watches is a (possibly) reasonable point to start the conversation (depending on what exactly one has).

I cant recall the post, but it was a 15416 incoming... the OP presented his allocations and timeline... the 15407ST was his 7th AP in about as many years...

This is very helpful discussion. I'm assuming a regular steel Jumbo is significantly easier to acquire than the 15407ST?

Thanks everyone for the sharing. For a starter like me, this is helpful to prepare myself for what to expect in the journey. So far I got 1 ROO, and 1 RO RG in 1 year. What do you think is the next one to pursue with the ultimate target to get 15407ST or 16202BA?

Both are heavy pieces…
For me 15407 are hardest to get and I have a relationship with AP Boutique from 2012 |

Get one Code or Offshore tourbillon and 15407 will pop up within months.

I guess the more interesting comparison is 15407OR vs the 16202BA, which is easier to get?
On a side note, was talking to another collector and I mentioned that I’ve seen all three gold variations of the 37mm frosted rainbow openworked at boutique/house, but have yet to catch a glimpse of the 41mm 15412. I guess that piece is just that rare |
