Seamaster 300m

Watch looks great. Love the photo's. I have been debating between this model and the no wave model. Looking for a new blue faced watch to update from my 1972 Seiko.

Just picked this up this week. Have never been into two toned or gold jewelry but like how the Sedna gold bezel warms the watch up a bit. Can’t stop looking at it.

Waiting for delivery, hopefully tomorrow.
Went for the blue option as I have the Rolex 114060 which is, of course, black.

I finally took possession of my watch after having it sitting in the box for over a week. It was my anniversary/birthday present I bought for myself, from my wife, and she made wait until our 5th anniversary beach trip to open it.

You can lose yourself staring into that wave dial. This watch is a HUGE bargain for the price, and I will echo what some have said that it rivals the submariner.

Congrats on your SM and anniversary - agree this is a lot of watch for the $$.

Not sure if I'm weird for saying this or not but I actually prefer the looks of the 300M over a Submariner

Not weird at all! I'll pick the new Seamaster 300 over the sub anytime anyday. In fact, most internet watch bloggers ( that don't have a bias ) agrees. It's just a better made watch at half the price.

The aesthetics too. Nobody hate me for this, the the rollies are just...bland? If I saw a seamaster next to a Submariner, no logos on either, I'd pick up the seamaster without thinking. And I'm pretty sure most people would too

I tried this on today and I’m convinced it’s my next piece. Thanks for all the thoughts, reviews, and especially the pictures posted on this thread. The blue is stunning but the black would fit better in my lifestyle and attire. Can’t wait to pick one up this weekend....

Nice. Funny how it’s so tough to take a pic of the watch. Colors look crazy.

I know, I've traded my LVc with my cousin for the Grey dial for a few days, and I'm wondering if I really do like the LVc very much more now, the SMP is actually quite substantive a package as well as having dynamic and explosive colour combinations. The black versions of both don't really light my fire any more.

I would've been all over this model, but I just don't understand why they didn't keep it 42mm.

I don't necessarily disagree. I do love my black SMP, but not interest in a black sub.

that said, i might just get colorful with an additional SMP.

Used to playing 2nd fiddle to Rolex's mighty Submariner but now no more, thanks to a revamp anti-magnetic in-house Co-axial movement, Metas approved accuracy performance, superbly polished hands and full ceramic bezel with a laser etched ceramic dial. And yes, the watch does lives up to the hype, and even better, at a lower price point. This is a dazzlingly handsome looking watch that is also very well made.

My watch collection hobby ( or addiction ) actually started with an Omega planet ocean as my first "serious" watch and five years late, comes full circle now the all new Omega Seamaster 300. Special mention about the new Omega box, with lacquered wood presentation, Rolex can learn a thing of two from it.

Sharing some pics below :

The 2018 new Omega Seamaster was first announced in Baselworld 2018 and only now the stocks are starting to filter down to ADs and Omega boutiques. I first heard about this watch while watching youtube videos and some bloggers and watch sites are recommending this watch enthusiastically. So I decided to see for myself. My ever helpful AD was kind enough to arrange all three popular choices of the SS 2018 Seamaster 300 model for me to choose, the blue dial which is the classic "Bond" Seamaster, the black dial which is the most versatile though a bit subdue of the three, and the silvery dial which was featured in the latest bond movie.

I end up picking the blue dial. I think it's the nicest of the bunch.

The packaging. Love this box. One of the nicest I have seen.

Some low light shots

Superb Lume

And some daylight shots

This blue ceramic dial truely pops like no other

Going for my morning exercise, just looks brilliant under the sun.

Seriously speaking, this is the probably the nicest Omega watch I have seen ( and owned ) till date. IMHO, and I hope nobody gets upset for me saying this, I think this latest Omega blows the Rolex Submariner out of the water, specs wise or value wise. Rolex still have the name and the value retention but I think one will be tongue tied to try to argue that the Submariner is the better watch against this Omega. It's certainly living up to the hype.
I'm getting a seamaster here in the next couple weeks. Thanks for the pics. I can't wait!

This has been one of my favorite threads to read all of the way through and the pictures have been outstanding!

I have been thinking of picking a blue one up and may do so in the coming days. My only concern is that I would want to buy the bracelet version and pick up the strap after. I’d probably go used or grey, so I don’t know how I would find the OEM strap?

Let’s bring this thing back to life in 2020!
