I wasn't aware that there was a gift giving etiquette, that needs to be adhered to between close partners.

But looking at your location, that may be a British doctrine. I, however, am American and as such I don't feel bound by that.

Coming to think about it, we once wrote a strongly worded letter about the applicability of British doctrines in the U.S.
