16014 help

I have found a birth-year date just with a white tapestry dial that I am strongly considering. I wanted to ask the group if there were any obvious red flags.

What I know about the watch:
Reportedly 1984
Bracelet probably not original to the watch
Lume on hands either redone or hands are replacements
Unk. service history

Does anyone see any glaring red flags from the images?
I am wondering if the dial has been replaced or refinished, its not a deal killer for me as I think the watch is gorgeous and the overall configuration suits my tastes, but might affect the value.
I think the only thing that could make it better is if it were two-tone. Don't hate!
Thanks in advance!

If you want a two-tone, don't settle.
Obviously bracelet is much earlier than 1980's.
A lot of corrossion on the case, visible between the lugs. Who knows if it would pass a pressure test.

More importantly, it's about the price. If the price is extremely good. Then it is a project watch.

Take into accout a service cost..

That was one of my concerns, I’d like to have it serviced by Rolex in the future, but have heard that they won’t if the watch isn’t all original. Not that I plan on diving with this thing, but it would be nice knowing it could still function as originally intended after a proper refurb.

As far as settling goes, I love the white tapestry dial and the fact that the watch is from my birth year, I think these two factors outweigh it not being a two tone.
Based on my review of the market, price at $4850 seems decent for the condition, though I’d be more comfortable around $4500.

FYI - the clasp Code N5 is circa production 1989 vs a 1984 watch as you indicate.
The jubilee folded link is much earlier so it has had some repairs, obviously.

That bracelet is the only thing giving me pause right now. I’d like to replace it with a solid link jubilee, but by the time it’s all said and done I’m not sure it’s worth the hassle. Thanks for the info, by the way!

What a rip-off. That asking price is crazy for that crappy watch, which is apparently put-together from parts from different eras (service hands and dial, pieced-together bracelet, etc.). It's not possible to know the exact year of production, the best you can do for 1984 is to estimate it from the serial number on the case. What is the serial on that watch? I have a 8.2M linen dial 16014 that I would let go. It's not two-tone, but it's an awful lot nicer than that one and all-original.
