A friend of mine recently came back from Vancouver and she said his neighbor was friends with this guy from HK who buys a lot of watches and he met up with this bloke who works for UPS in Chile and overheard some talk about some watches getting discontinued. Not sure if it is valid but I wanted to put it out there.

that would make a a lot of sense tbh. Just wonder how many new versions of the aquanaut will be released and a successor of the 5270 it might even take a year or two.

I'd say that at least one or 2 of these are gonna go. all of them? no chance.

Well our government has already uncapped fuel prices which may be a sign of Patek fully adjusting to market pricing, I think they are testing the waters through our nation :D

Just spoke to my AD. Run out list still not out but all ADs have received their delivery schedule for 2023. 5712 1a, 5212a, 5970p, 5980 1r, 5968g/a, 5167a and 1a… will all still be delivered in 2023, so I doubt they will be on the run out list.

Correction: 5270p. Of course not 5970p.

I’ve just seen a paper copy of the list. No mens nautilus or aquanaut are on it, nor is the 5212.

lol, everyone crossing their fingers, hoping that their watch will be discontinued. Considering how popular the steel and sports model watches are, and that Patek simply upgrade both their movements AND their bracelets, doesn't seem there needs a discontinuation.

5271P,5905R,5078G,5178G,5316P,7010R all gone. There are a dozen more references gone also but obscure enough (to me) not to remember.

First red flag would be the 5270P already. If you’re referring to the salmon one, it has already been discontinued since last year, and impossible for them to discontinue the green 5270P a year into its release. Also, I find that the number of sports models getting discontinued is just too many. Thanks for sharing tho! :)

As the 5212 model was released at Basel in 2019, I would find it odd to have it discontinued after four years. Five years would be a standard run

The green 5270P wouldn't be the first watch they discontinue after one year. Often the end of series platinum variants don't last long.

I consulted my advisor “Magic 8 Ball” and asked it about 5167 and 5212 discontinuations and it said, “All signs point to yes.” We did it boys!

they just released two new gem stone sets of the 5271P but I am guessing you mean the old diamond and black dial version. Other than the 7010R and 5905R they are out most peoples league here anyway other than a few members, the refs you listed are mostly grand comps MR

Picked up the 5212a today. I apparently am mistaken, the 5212a is not on the run-out list according to the sales manager - BUT I can confirm the 2023 run-out list is out, I got to see it (from a few feet away). The sales manager said it was "majority ladies pieces." He would not give me further details.
