Lume Comparison - Wicked Pearl Diver's Lumicast vs Grand Seiko, MING & Formex

I recently received the Pearl Diver from Wicked Watch Co., which most notably is using what I believe to be the next generation of luminous material that we've seen glimpses of from higher end watches such as Sarpaneva, Moser, MING and recently even Tudor. While different brands use different methods of preparing these three dimensional luminous elements, the results are similar, and also quite spectacular. Without getting deep into the details, the 3D lume elements are created by casting them in a ceramic mixture, which allows for them to take three dimensional shapes and also better density than being painted or filled.

The first section of this video shows off what these elements look like up close, and then moves on to some illuminated footage, followed by a comparison between the following watches:
1. Grand Seiko SBGE275 GMT - LumiBrite filled into the hour markers and hands, and applied onto the bezel insert
2. MING 17.09 Blue - Super-LumiNova X1 filled into the etched crystal, and applied onto the hands
3. Formex Essence ThirtyNine - BGW9 Super-LumiNova filled into the hands and indices
4. Wicked Watch Co. Pearl Diver - LumiCast BGW-9 Grade A on the dial, LumiNova® BGW-9 Grade A filled into the hands and bezel insert.
