I've owned the SD. I no longer have it and have since only had Subs. The Sub is actually 40 mm and the SD is 39 mm. I think the Sub will wear more comfortable for most due to the thinner case profile. Both are great options. in this case the SD has solid end links on the bracelet and the Sub does not. But there are 5 digit reference Subs with solid end link bracelets. I think you need to try both on and see which one feels best on your wrist.

I'm a Sub guy too, but both are pretty similar. Depth rating is kinda irrelevant for most. Try them on the wrist, look at them in the mirror and decide what turns your crank. However the Sub is a classic and hard to beat! Good luck. Cheers!
