How to layoff half of 5000 employees.

Yea, like when the door opens they just will wait for it to close and then try their badge. If true, once the door was open they would have stormed the place and made BBQ of managment. Now, we would have heard about that.

I'm wouldn't be at all surprised if it was true. It's a country where respect is an arcane term and BS like that is why I got out of there at the first opportunity.

The brain drain there has become a significant issue, and in 2002 Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong addressed the nation about it, labelling those who left as "quitters". For the ones that left, that speech simply justified their decision to leave, and for those who were on the verge of leaving, that pretty much closed the deal for them.

The island may be bandied about as some sort of economic miracle, but when it comes to understanding people, they haven't reached the Stone Age yet.
