Incoming (plastic and metal content)
Hi all,
Sadly not a Richard Mille, so anyone expecting to see one of those can click away now. Those who appreciate great value can read on I've always been a huge fan of G-Shocks due to their ability to take anything you could throw at them, particularly for mountain biking. They also make a great throw on holiday/travel watch. I've had a few that have come and gone over the years and most recently (although its a good few years old now) a digital/analogue AWG 101-1a with solar charging and atomic timekeeping. But I'd never had a "square" G -Shock, which was after all the original design from '83 So after much deliberation and wanting a negative display, I decided on one of these, a GW-B5600HR-1ER which I found on sale at a huge discount. Spec wise its right up there with the all metal G -Shocks at 5 times the price. Solar, multiband 6 receiving, bluetooth connectivity (makes it much easier to set up the watch) multiple alarms, chrono, world times, countdown timer, a memo function and more. As well as being a "heritage" model with cool red accents (text, midcase, back of the centre links), what's different about his one to most resin G-Shocks is that instead of a resin strap, it has what Casio call a composite bracelet. What that means in reality is that you get a plastic oyster style bracelet with a metal micro adjustable clasp, which adds a bit of weight and a higher quality feel. The links themselves are all joined by metal springbars (with both shoulders and holes in the link sides) making removal for sizing about as as easy as it gets. On the wrist it is extremely comfortable and a nice contrast to my other watches. Loving it so far Anyway, I know how this forum likes pictures, so thanks for sticking with me this far and here you go

That's awesome. Glad you are loving this G-Shock.
For blue tooth G-Shock, the automatic DST update without sync-ing is well worth the money. :)

Indeed. I’m surprised how useful the Bluetooth is for setting up the various functions from the app. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Congratulations Scott!
G-Shocks certainly fill a niche and are terrific watches.
