That is what I think could possibly happen. A Rolex, while well made for a watch, is still just a watch.

Those parts would have adjusted to the ambient air temp. If you’re wearing the watch it’s being kept warm by your body heat. No issues could or should be expected bar a freak accident and the bracelet gets caught on a lift or branch etc.

This can be mitigated by not wearing too loose of course bearing in mind your wrist may contract in low temps.

Enjoy the skiing and take some pics. For what it’s worth next time I go skiing, my AP will be on my wrist. It also likes water too.

I had to snow-blow my driveway a couple of weeks ago. It was 11 degrees (F) out and my Rolex loved it!

My parents gave me a GMT when I graduated from US Army flight school. I wore it for 365 days in Vietnam and never took it off. We logged 1000 hours of combat flight time together. It liked it..... Not skiing but hard duty. Gave it to my son when he turned 21. Has been serviced twice and still going strong. These watches are made to work and be enjoyed while doing so.

This is rather amusing! I think you should be able to ski in any rolex.

Everything is permitted except that which is forbidden. Or is it everything is forbidden except that which is permitted?

Yes you can ski, snowboard, waterski, shoot, swim, shower, ride motorcycles, race cars, sauna, hot tub, boil, jackhammer and go into outer space. Just don’t drop it on a tiled bathroom floor! Kills them every time. Enjoy your watch.

The last time I went skiing with my Rolex a screw in one of the bracelet links fell out. RSS said the temperature had something to do with it.

I ski with my Polar 42 mm. I am not worried about my watch during skiing, more worried not damaging it during après-skiing

I hope so, as I'm off to Saalbach Austria in two days time, accompanied by my GMT, my mate with his Datona, another with his Sub, and another with an Explorer. The trip organiser wearing his new Omeaga Seamaster, if he gets it back from its second warranty repair in the 9 months he has owned it. Oh how we laugh!

Same. Took a nasty fall last weekend while skiing. Didn't even think about the watch until 30 minutes later.

Wear it everywhere.

Just don’t try to lick it on the lift or your tongue might stick.
