The black dial is more classy and the one I'd prefer. Both would be ideal.
The rainbow is hands down the best option period though.

The black dial is nice indeed, but the white dial better features the characteristics of the watch, especially with the ceramic bezel. Can't go wrong with either though.

Like I said both because it gives you options. I sometimes put my black one on a strap just to get some additional variety

However if it has to be one the white

Exactly this, Black!

A friend and I paused a Youtube video the other night on the black and white and discussed this for half and hour. In the end out decision was based upon current and future collection.
If you collection is currently very sporty, got or the white, if its not, go for the black. Just go with what pops.

It was either Confucius or Hans Wilsdorf who said “Once you’ve had black, you won't go back”

White 116500 for me (due to my collection being all dark dialed; hope to purchase this one day). The Black 116500 is sleeker and stealthier (hardly worn though ).

Older model 116520 - Black dial for sure.

Any white face over black for me. I like something other than black and stainless.

I initially want black. But I purchased two black dialed watches since(DSSD and BLNR). So, I changed my mind for the white. However, yesterday walk in my AD and purchased black because the black was only the option. Now I have to like the black

I would take whichever one you could buy at MSRP (if such a thing existed). Otherwise, I would go black (looks bigger).

The black seems to be getting a lot more popular these days, but the white is still the more desired between them.

I’m sure you will love it, it’s a pity though that Rolex don’t let you change the dial like they used to with the Daytona.

I stand by the white dial on the ceramic model. Would also pick the white if we're taking previous reference with SS bezel as well.

The "pop" factor of the white dial behind the black counters is probably my favorite part of the watch if we're talking about looks. Looking down at mine - the wow factor of the crisp white dial never gets old.

Best part of all this though is neither is a wrong choice/opinion. There are plenty of days where I come on here and easily understand why some people prefer the black dial over the white :)

I vote black. That's what I got. Definitely ceramic bezel. I didn't seriously consider the SS Daytona until the ceramic bezel was introduced. l I liked the flow of the black dial and bezel better. The white dial and black bezel has too much contrast for me.

All the polls that compare white or black dial Daytona’s (500/520), white dial always wins by a significant margin.

In the end it’s your decision.

Both are great - I would want to see them in-person before deciding. I thought I really liked the new white OP and found the black one dull in photos, but after seeing them both in-person I was smitten with the black dial (which I ended up buying).

I feel like I like the white DaytonaC more from pictures but maybe it would be the same once I saw them in-person.
