Absolute stunner of a watch and I agree it looks bigger because the dial combined with the bezel (all black) makes it look like a huge dial. However, I would struggle very much with this one's "at a glance" time legibility.

Thanks - but for legibility I recommend this one.

The Panda-Arabic. I cannot read any of the darker dials without some effort.

I don't know whether contrast would be an issue for me as much as size. I really want to love that watch but I can't seem to do it. Tried on a gold one again tonight and it just doesn't do it for me at all. If it was 41 or 42 mm and had a date, I'd be way in.
The problem may also be your current collection. Everything you have is extremely legible. Might be difficult to switch. When I went from my BLNR to my DD40 for every day, there was a decent adjustment period. |

Great for telling time and date (cyclops)
Best for telling time is DSSD or IWC Big Pilot However, I'm asking if there is a Daytona dial I could live with ... not convinced I'd be owning for anything other than jewelry aspect. |

None of the modern ones are readable IMO. I have tried to love this model, having owned a 116520 black, 116520 white and a 116500 white. Beautiful watches. Very comfortable. Just rather hard to tell time, and even harder to use the chronograph. All gone, Daytona just isn't for me.

I also plan to have a Daytona next, and I also have felt a bit of concern about legibility. My plan is some Daytona configured with a white dial and yellow or rose gold hands. I find those to be beautiful and reasonably legible.
When I need a highly legible chronograph, this one will be called to duty |
