Last night at a BBQ I met an older man who was sporting a Rolex non-Daytona chronograph. It had no outer bezel at all, and had a really cool silver face with three sub-dials. He said he bought it new in 1965, that it came on a bracelet, but that he took off the bracelet and put a leather strap on it.

What is the name of Rolex's vintage non-Daytona chronograph? I never saw a watch like that before.
