That's interesting - you found the 312 to be thicker (taller) than the 270 ? Cheers

I voted for the 312 because I like the cleaner dial and dislike the fang style PR indicator and also think the 233/270 are over priced.

Looks like a very close race between the 233 and 312. I kind of wonder what would happen if only those two were in a poll?

Amazingly close between the 233 and 312! I wonder if we deleted the 270 from the poll...where would the 270 votes go to...the 312 or 233?

233. I like the simple dial with the power reserve and domed crystal.

The dome is ellegant
Yes, visually. It may be similar in height, but as the 312 and 9000 family have more of their height taken up in steel, it makes them look fatter (or more presence if you like). The domed crystal adds less to the height asthetically. For me (purely personal) the 233 has the best proportions.

Interesting that the 312 took the lead in this poll.
Do you think it has to do with the current state of the world economy that collectors are looking for better values...especially since the 312 is less than 1/2 the price of the 270 and 233? |

It'd be different if it was a poll based on desires rather than what you'd actually buy. If it were not for the financial standpoint, I'd pick up the 270 or 275.

233 for me. I actually like the heavier weight of the 312, but overall though the 233 is the one that's the best fit for me, and I love to wind the watch manually. Can't go wrong with any of them.

270 ! first in-house auto & more exclusive of all 3 (23.02% now)
Manual or Auto ? , remember the Ferraris & F1s , now most of them are paddle shift and no harm... |

I would definitely go for the 320. Why? mainly because you cannot fully appreciate the beauty of the brown croc strap vs. the black strap of the 312. And the power reserve is on the display back, not on the front where it clutters the dial. Also, the seconds has an auto reset on the 320 but not on the 312 (I believe)- this makes setting the time to the second much easier. And if you buy a 312, but then want the brown strap, it is $500, and this is half of the extra $1000 or so you pay for a GMT. Plus, of course, the GMT function, which can be hidden behind the hour hand.

At this juncture there are probably as many (if not more) 233's out there as 312's. I have yet to see current production numbers to date, but I'd bet this is the case..
