I'm posting this for a friend. My AD, if he does read this forum, has never mentioned any of my posts to me. My friend asks:

I do not attempt to hide or obscure who I am on TRF. So for locals who know me, it’s pretty easy to figure out who I am. My AD has made several comments to me about things I have posted on here. So, I tend to think about what my AD’s reaction would be to any post I make here, since it isn’t really anonymous. At times, it stifles what I might like to post. Anyone else in this predicament or have any comments about this?

Slightly off topic, but I posted on another forum once about difficulty with service to another popular brand of watch, and the next day I was contacted by that brand's head of customer service in North America.

We had some very pleasant interaction, and my concerns about service to my watch were handled perfectly!

I realize it depends on the nature of the post, but I suppose it's not so bad if the right people from the watch business track our discussions.

Don’t believe he stalks my posts. I’m sure he sees some of them, but he never mentions anything.

Total class act. One of the most professional guys I’ve ever dealt with in any field.

My AD says he has little knowledge of "anything computer", but they do have a few other employees who are quite savvy.

He says with the constant influx of customers and "looky-loo's" during the day, he really wouldn't have the time to be doing forum reads.

I do not know and moreover, do not care. My opinions are my own.

I try and be judicious in blasting or praising any particular business or individual publicly, but if they want to positively influence my future posts by treating me like royalty and/or hooking me up with outstanding deals on hard-to-find pieces, I’d be open to that.
