Correct. All Cartier jewelry is boutique only.

Buy from the Cartier boutiques in the islands duty free. That’s your only shot of any discount from a Cartier AD. With that being said, they are beautiful & timeless bracelets that look better the more they are banged up. Not dissimilar to Rimowa luggage in that respect!

Preowned Cartier LOVE Bracelet

Best thing to do to save money would be to get it tax free (ie. Abroad). Otherwise you need to bite the bullet and get it at retail plus tax.

Agree that getting it used wouldn't be the same experience for your wife

Do it right. She will love it. You will get over the cost

Love bracelet

OP, consider going in together as a pair- Aldo Cippulo designed them as such and originally Cartier only sold them to couples. When I married my wiffer we did the love rings together then yellow bracelets at 10, and white at 20 and then a 3rd rose for her as a present last summer. I only wear one at a time but like the understated design and the ability to wear something opposite my watch that matches or purposely does not. Value I don't care about- she's happy.
