All of mine (pictured) were bought in Germany so they are all German made. I was talking to someone recently that said they won't buy the Canadian or Czech made ones due to quality issues. Anyone able to comment on the differences?

I would assume quality should be the same. But me being OCD, I have the Germany version.

Anyone have any belt recommendations?
Apart from being well made, luxury costs money

Thats brilliant, AA specs are 22x14x9, same as Delta and Lufthansa allows 21x15x9, the Rimowa "Original Cabin" specs out at 21.7x15.8x9.1. I had AA pull my carry on during a connection in DFW from one AA flight to another for size issues, so I'm extremely cautious about the rules. And once you check, you're on that flight and not changing anything rapidly anymore.

I've never had any issues with any airline (in the US and Europe) using the Cabin size as a carryon. Austrian is a pain in the rump about weight and they once made me check the Cabin due to the weight but not the size even though I was in Business Class. If I know i'm on a smaller regional jet I use my Cabin S and that has usually fit in the overhead as well since it is not as thick.

Same here. Initially I was concerned since Cabin dimensions are over some the airlines specs, but never got asked to gate check. Plus the Cabin fits in the correct way into the overhead instead of sideway. Also use Cabin S on regional jet, but I hardly fly those legs.

Not familiar with Delta policy for boarding CRJs, but found this:

If I was looking for the classic aluminum hardshell carry on - which bag should I buy?

I would get the Cabin. If you fly mostly international flight, then I think you can get away with Cabin Plus as carry on. I have both and have use them as carry when I fly a Boeing 777-300.

Cabin Plus (left and LVMH version) and Cabin (right and pre LVMH version):

I have the large check in

I really wanted the cabin but the oversize dimensions are too much of a risk if you catch a counter or gate agent on a bad day. I have a Tumi wheeled backpack that has the same volume as the Cabin but with lots of outside pockets. I wear it as a backpack almost exclusively and no one ever looked at it funny or would ask me to gate check it. I will say that the Cabin is probably the sexiest piece of Carry on luggage money can buy. Not the most practical but definitely the best looking

Just ordered myself a black Cabin.

If anyone else is looking Bloomingdales is offering $25 in rewards card per $100 spent, including Rimowa luggage. $1150 Cabin purchase nets you $275 in rewards.

Just looking now at Rimowa Cabin S in the classic range. They look pretty robust.
Seems to be the best size in regards airline measurements.

Always been a Zero Halliburton Ali luggage person. But they are just too heavy empty.

Happy with Tumi.

Thank god. Last thing I need is a new "thing".

Wife loves hers, I have the full set of Bally leather stuff, trundler, slouch, suit bag, computer bag but then again I rarely as in once every 5 years take checked bags in which case I have a brown Tumi similar colour to the Bally.

We took the Rimowa as hand luggage to Europe in 2017 and the worst thing happened it locked itself with a new code. Lucky our passports were not in there and where we stayed in Paris was a 100m from an AD who unlocked it. I was not that impressed but she likes it.

You can really unlock it with a toothpick. TSA locks are a joke. But a must post 9/11.

Will need to get practice at it, first time I tried to open I laughed then I worked out how serious it was, as noted nothing in there that was urgent had a change of clothes, travel guides, reading material, we have a hand luggage each had our passports etc in our backpack.

Did you get those rewards? Thinking about joining the loyallist and pulling the trigger

Curious if it was somehow excluded
