Other Hobbies/Collecting Habits

Hi Everyone,

Obviously, we're all here for our love of watches but I was curious to know what else members collect or other hobbies they may have?

Myself - I am huge comic book guy along with comic statues to name a few.

What about everyone else?

I collect die cast airplanes 1/200 and 1/400 scales . I sold some and buy models I really like . Some models I actually had a chance to ride in actual planes .

Nice. Out of curiosity how is the market nowadays? Certain pieces in demand or soft like most hobbies currently?

Straight razors, as well as antique sharpening stones/hones. Love my razors and knives surgically sharp.

I can’t post pics of my other hobby per forum rules. I don’t really collect but have a good selection, more that I participate in competitions.

Very cool responses so far.

That Kiss collection is amazing.

Last I heard they had European tour dates lined up but not sure about North America.

I've got some stamps and coins, but nothing collection-worthy. I'm working on building a whiskey collection, but I'll be damned if it doesn't keep disappearing...

North America is done except for a few rescheduled shows.

www.kissonline.com will show you the latest tour dates.

We saw them twice this year. Once in New Orleans and in Houston. Both were great shows!!

Unmentionables, shoes, Scotty Cameron putters. For many years I restored muscle cars/Corvettes but have not for a few years now.

$5k-$13k. For full disclosure, I didn’t pay for any of my bikes and got pro deals on all of my wife’s bikes. My son’s are custom handmade bikes.....so I did have to bite the bullet on those. I’ve ridden lightweight wheels, but never owned any. I was always obligated to ride what was provided to me.

I used to collect pocket knives, just loved the engineering and craftsmanship. Had some real beauties from America from some famous names. I remember that Sal Glasser the owner of Spyderco came and gave some fascinating lectures to our forum in Leeds one year.

Check out TA (Todd) Davison, an American maker, absolutely sublime and a proper gentleman, I once sent him dollars to pay for one of his creations in a letter because I couldn't work out PayPal at the time. Lol.
