Icon14 Morre Lyons (NJ AD) - Great Experience

Hi All-

I've been lurking around the forums for the past several months and am happy to finally post. I've wanted a SS Subc for some time and finally made it a reality earlier this week. I purchased the watch at Morre Lyons Jewelers, an AD in Clifton, NJ. I've read the previous posts about this AD (Ron, etc.), and can happily confirm that Morre Lyons provides a truly great experience for buying a Rolex.

I dealt with Sam and Amy and, frankly speaking, it felt like a familiar and comfortable conversation the entire time. I was not sold to. There was no pressure nor talk of potential price increases. We just talked watches. It's a family owned/run business and it sure feels like it. They offered the watch at a fair price and it is an experience that I will always remember. I will definitely be returning for future purchases.

Thank you to Sam and Amy; looking at my new watch just makes me smile. You guys made my week!

Of course, the obligatory picture:

Please leave it at that "they took care of you" You do not want to get a great AD in trouble by ROLEX inc. So remember they did not discount but they did take care of you..
Rolex is looking for any reason to pull AD's status and publicly announcing they discounted will raise eyebrows and we do not want that.. They did not discount..

Congrats on your great new piece!!

I had a great experience with a family-owned AD too - Alvin Goldfarb in Seattle. So, I can relate to your experience. It's a great looking watch - congrats!

Definitely a great vibe at Morre Lyon. Not a posh store, more than makes up for it in personal warmth. Ron will be missed. I need to get back there to meet the new crew members.

The perfect reply to questions about discounting. Your post should be automatically inserted into any thread about pricing.

Approximately 20 years ago, well before his retiring not too long ago, Ron took care of me at Morre Lyons with my first Rolex purchase.
After that, my mom's, then my dad's, then my wife's, then my son's watches.
It's been a family affair and I too cannot speak highly enough about this AD.

At least some people here have some sense. The last time I made a statement like this, all I got was a bunch of smart@$$ replies.
