To those interested, there will be an update on the website soon. The update will include the 5512 from 1959 to 1966 during the time it was made with the gilt/gloss dial.

www.5513mattedial.com has undergone a major update to include the 5512 gilt/gloss dials from 1959 to 1966. Simply click on the dates to learn more about the dials from any given year. I hope collectors and those passionate about vintage Rolex continue to find the site a valuable source of information. A warm thank you to Andrew Shear for his help in this endeavor.

An amazing site and invaluable resource! Many thanks for putting this together.
It would be great to one day include information on the matte dial 5512s. There's not a lot of definitive, in-depth information online, not that I could find anyway. |

Fantastic stuff, much appreciated to all involved
I researched my first vintage piece using this site and found it to be so valuable in the process. Ultimately I ended up dealing with Nick Gogas. Here is a picture of the 5513 featured in the photos on the site from Nick I purchased this beauty from him and couldn't be happier |

This is an amazing resource. I am in the market for my first Rolex and have zeroed in to 2 models. Just 2 days ago, I run into someone locally that may sell his 5513 and that I'm going to see this weekend. By the pictures he sent me it looks like it has a MAX V dial. I am getting excited. This information could not have come in a better time. Very invaluable resource.
I am getting excited ;) Thank you for this!! |

I would also like to thank John for the amazing job he has done to collate all the information. I was deciding between a Maxi I and Pre Comex, and 5513mattedial.com was an invaluable resource.
Thanks very much for taking the time and effort for the benefit of collectors! |

Yes, great site. I studied it pretty in depth. I actually posted in TRF earlier. (My first one) with several questions. Hopefully the moderator will reassign my post to this area. I didn't see it previously. Here's a pic though.
