GMT Size vs Sub

Hey Guys,
I can't tell if my eyes are playing tricks on me. Is the GMT the same size as the Submariner? The GMT lugs and bezel look larger in the comparison pics.... but I am not sure if my eyes are just playing tricks on me due to the larger font of the GMT bezel.

Can someone please clarify? Thanks!

GMT lugs are smaller. Bezels are the same diameter.

116710 vs. 114060.

GMT left, SubC right. The bottom beveled portion of the bezel on the GMT looks thicker than the SubC, but the top serrated / tooth section looks smaller so they may be the same thickness...

Thank you SO much Spoonage! I still don't get it, lol. The bezel of the Sub-C, looks like it would fit right on top of the dial on the GMT!

Even in this pic, like all the pics I see, the GMT looks 10% larger that the Sub. Even the side view. I am either losing my mind or they look different in person.

Both are 40mm cases. The GMT is has a slightly thicker case and slightly slimmer lugs as well as a flatter case back.

GMTc lugs are slightly thinner than the Subc's but the larger bezel numbers gives the impression often that the GMTc looks bigger. They wear practically the same for me.

No worries. Pictures can play tricks on the eyes. If the angle is just slightly off it can change the way the case looks. Best to see them side by side in person, try them both on, then buy them both!

Yes, the raised caseback and the thinner case on the Sub will make it wear slightly different than the GMT.

They are practically the same. I don't think you'll really notice the difference.

Aren't they both 20mm lugs?

20mm is the width of the space for both measured between the lugs. I believe they're talking about the width of each lug itself when saying the GMT's are slimmer.
