Good deal or not?
I stopped by my local Costco today for groceries and noticed the price of the SS Yachtmaster II gor dropped. So with the new price, is it a good deal to buy with lifetime Costco warranty?

If I'm not mistaken you do not get any rolex warranty with a Costco purchase and that would not be my preference. I do not trust "Costco warranty"

It does sound as a good deal. You do get a 1 year Costco warranty (at least in the USA). What he refers to lifetime warranty beleive have to do with the ability to return the watch used years later for a full refund.

Yea Costco does not do this for rolex watches. Lol. Perhaps at the start but they have caught on and have a new policy for these items.

Are Costco Rolexes BNIB or pre-owned? I see no stickers...

Well I mean to say there is a Costco warranty but no lifetime return policy on these luxury goods any longer as far as I know.

If you want Costco to service it in the future, then yes

I don't think I could feel satisfied with buying a Rolex at Costco.
AD or trusted seller for me. |

I would confirm first in writing exactly what the return period is. If it is 1 year I may consider it as I would just return it if it had any problems, I would not have them fix it. If less than 1 year I would pass, rather have a Rolex warranty.

The manager at Costco said you can return it anytime for the lifetime of the watch. If it needs repair they will send to their known watch repair guys, if can't repair, they will refund the full amount. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I think some people are still in denial that they get full lifetime warranty from Costco (second largest retailer in this planetary system).
They've been going strong for 40 years, I'm pretty sure they will still be there when your 5 year RSC limited warranty expires. Plus, you can also get a rack of ribs while you are there. Can your AD do that?

I agree with you on that one, if anything that needs repair I would just ask for refund. Regular maintenance service I would take to Rolex. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Wouldn't send it to them for service, but wouldn't be concerned about them taking it back either. I saw a SD the other week at Costco that I was tempted to buy. Just couldn't fit it in the cart with 100 rolls of toilet paper.

I wonder if they would reduce the price further/accept an offer?

Rolex warranties follow the watch don't they? Costco gets their luxury watches on the gray market. There was a law suit involving Costco and Omega a few years back. Omega sued because Costco was selling the watches well below retail and selling them as new watches. (Which they were) Costco won. |

That watch has the green COSC tag so it has a 5 year warranty from Roelx that follows the watch regardless of who owns it.

I wouldn't hesitate buying it! I paid $13300 new from a dealer on this site so there are a little better deals out there. Costco is a first class operation and they kill it with their customer service.
