FS: IWC Ingenieur AMG Titanium Chronograph IW3725-04

IWC debuted the Ingenieur model in 1954, catered to scientists, technicians, and engineers. It was offered with features desirable to those professions, like water resistance and an iron cage for antimagnetic properties, wrapped in a dressy package that worked well with the suit and tie style of the times.

In 1976, the now legendary Gerald Genta redesigned the Ingenieur for IWC, giving the watch its now iconic tonneau case shape with an integrated bracelet and distinctive wide, round bezel with recessed areas for a case tool to open the watch from the front. The watch kept its DNA even with the aesthetic changes, retaining its antimagnetic properties, durability, and precision.

Genta's original 1976 design is still obvious in the modern sports Ingenieur. The case shape, the integrated lugs, the DNA is all there, it's just been updated. The modern Ingenieur case boasts angular crown guards, polished sharp chamfers mixed with a clean brushed finish, and remaining true to the idea of the original "jumbo", a large 42mm case.
So when IWC teamed up with Affalterbach powerhouse AMG, it only made sense to push the Ingenieur to its limits just like AMG does with Mercedes. Performance materials like Kevlar and titanium make the watch both incredibly light and durable on the wrist. The clean, stepped dial of the AMG edition adds details typical of Mercedes-Benz while retaining the maximum legibility the model has had since its inception. The watch is the embodiment of AMG, improving on an already great platform with its own subtle design cues while maximizing performance.


The Ingenieur AMG Chronograph IW3725-04 we are offering here is in excellent condition and comes with its undated warranty card and box.
Condition is per the photos and as follows:

Case: 42mm titanium case (13.5mm tall) in excellent overall condition with only minor surface wear as shown in the photos. The bezel has some small marks and dings on the outer edge as pictured.

Dial/Hands: Perfect stepped black dial with applied markers in AMG style font with a printed tachymeter scale. Hands are luminous and free from any defects.

Caseback: Original titanium caseback with the AMG crest engraved. There is one small scuff on the back visible in the photos.

Crystal: Perfect original sapphire crystal with no scratching, cracks, or chips.

Movement: IWC caliber 79350 automatic chronograph movement (7750 base). The watch keeps very good time and all functions work as they should.

Bracelet/Strap: Like new OEM IWC kevlar strap with titanium tang buckle. Strap was replaced in July 2016 with an OEM unit purchased through an Authorized Dealer.

Accessories: Sold as watch only.
