OysterQuartz Restoration

Hey guys, just wanted to share my recently restored OQ since I really haven't seen many pictures of fully restored OQ's online. It was in pretty rough shape when I bought it a couple months back. I sent it to ABC Watchwerks and Alex did a great job making the case and bracelet like new. I even got some dents repaired with laser welding. Looks even better in person than in pictures

Congratulations to both owners of those to totally rejuvenated watches. They both look awesome.

Very nice. Let me ask about the electronics. Were they replaced or in good working order? Reason I ask is that I had a badly beat up 17013 come into my possession. The dial had a small amount of water damage among other things. I sent it to RWSC in Dallas. About three months later I got it back. New electronics, hands, dial(swapped out), winding crown and tube and some more things. Like new. The reason you won't see much on the Oyster Quartz is it is not viewed favorably by many mechanical Rolex fans. Strange the 5035 and 5055 quartz movements were the finest of all movements produced by Rolex. My OQ collection includes a 17013, 17014 and the very rare 19019, 18 K W.G.

They were in reasonable shape, but I did have a minor quartz service done. I had the canon pinion replaced, and the electronics cleaned is what I was told. It was running 1 sec a day fast, and now it is keeping time perfectly. How much did Rolex charge for the dial? I wouldn't mind switching to a blue or black dial one of these days
