Oysterflex w/Endlinks on Daytona 116500
1. What do you guys think of this mock up?
2. If it's possible to source the oysterflex, would there be ay fit issues as it would be made for the PM Daytona? 3. If no issues with Oysterflex fit, do you think custom end links, like these from smartyjones18, would work with the oyster flex? Thanks! |

I'd be shocked if the oysterflex doesn't fit. Its no different from any other aftermarket strap in that respect. Whether it will fit with the custom end links is anyone's guess. Why not buy a set of endlinks (assuming the 520 links fit your 500) and see if you can try it with an oysterflex?

I couldn't find one on Google so I am doubtful as the OF is a PM signifier so doubt Rolex would allow it to fit a SS.

Damn, that photoshop looks incredible! Certainly worth $500 if it works!
How do you plan on acquiring the OF strap? I keep reading that Rolex will only sell them to owners of watches that come from the factory with OF?

Yeah, with endlinks would be perfect. Without is OK but Everest with endlinks is better. |

It looks great but i don,t think the end links will fit the same way they fit the larger cased pm daytona on oyster.I think the new pm daytona has been machined further up under the bezel to allow the end links to slide under. For the price you state i would give it a go anyway.

I've been wondering the same thing! Great idea. I was also wondering if this same thing would work on the new 116655 RG Yacht-Master (adding the PM endlinks)? Why didn't they do that to 116655, add the endlinks?!?! I'd also love to see a rendering of the white face 500.

Oysterflex w/Endlinks on Daytona 116500
I have a OF for my 116610 and works great. There is a small gap but not even noticeable and sometimes I am extremely OCD. The fit and comfort is what sold me. I would think end links would work, but only one way to know . It will still look great though without the end links though you will not be disappointed.
Good luck trying to source one though. Unless you can find an AD that has one on stock, only way to get it would be to own the PM Daytona or PM RG YM so they would order different sizes. Finally maybe get extremely lucky with a trusted source selling one. |

Trusted source who got it from an AD. Came in OEM packaging etc. It was a little pain read my posts haha. It was a little big and it was the only one for sale I could have returned it but really wanted it. I ended up getting another clasp for it to fit perfectly. I was ok with that as if I went with a Everest I would have done the same, to lazy to keep swapping a clasp every time I want to swap a strap or bracelet. |

I have some stuff in the works to make this look happen. Will obviously update you all with progression. Best part about this mod IMO is that it's not really a mod. No permanent changes :)
Thanks all for the comments! |

We know the lugs are not the same size thickness that is certain, between pm and ss. Not sure if it matters lug to lug width or not.
