Grand Seiko Peacock (my first Japanese watch)

Picked up this beauty after reading the Hodinkee article and seeing a couple posts from other owners. My first Grand Seiko/Japanese watch, and I can't imagine starting off any other way (except maybe the Snowflake which I've had my eye on). It's crazy how much the color changes based on the lighting, and the finish is superb all around.

Indeed there is something very attractive about this watch. Probably the combination of elegance and functionality. Very nice acquisition. Congrats and wear it in good health!

Fully understand your purchase as I bought mine yesterday :-)

Since some years, I've been many times to Seiko shop in Paris who did not have so many models on stock.

They finally start promoting GS the right way and got some nice models.

I was very lucky finding the Peacock as the guy who ordered it was tired to wait and canceled his request some days ago.

As you mentioned in your email, amazing watch, and amazing dial.

First japanese expensive watch for me.

Beautiful watch indeed.

I saw one in person, my first time using a loupe, as the sales person motivated me too, and maaaaaaaaan this piece is something else.

Enjoy

Hi, do you mind explaining more on the bracelet? Is it comfortable? How do you compare it to other brands' bracelets such as Rolex's oyster or AP's RO bracelet?

Very interested in this piece but not sure about the bracelet's quality. Cheers

I can't really tell from your photo but is this the blue peacock or the green peacock?

It's awesome looking. I'm torn between that GMT and the Limited Edition blue dial just released.
