GMT BLRO ... Different bezels ???????

Guys,

Since months I have a conversation with my AD concerning the GMT. Mine is already a couple of months old ( first delivery)
Anyway, she says that the bezel color changed, according to her the color is darker today so less purple and pink.

Anyone heard this before ? I mean... not one single forum says anything about this.

I keep on thinking it's because of the light and angle you look at the watch. Same reason they look so different in pictures

HELP !!

Even if that would be true, you can't do anything about it. Enjoy your watch.

I just received mine and the bezel colours have not changed - the bezel looks completely different in the daylight than it does inside.

To me, when the watch is inside the colours look more like the original bakelite bezel, but when you get into sunlight it's extremely vibrant.

The few, the proud, the Pepsi owners!!

Enjoy!

I doubt they change the color that soon but if they did then I’m so lucky to have received the “MK I”

People are still wondering if it's pink so I'd say probably not.

My understanding was that the colours on a ceramic couldn't fade so it must be the different lighting conditions. Either way, enjoy the watch as many others will not get the chance to experience it at all!

I think it could be true as the SS seems to have more pics of it as blue and red as opposed to the WG which had a lot of pink and purple, I'm sure they experimented some more with the compound mix. Or could be the SS guys take cleverer pics.

I hope they make some adjustments to the colors. I for one passed on the BLRO when it was offered to me due to the color of the bezel under sunlight. (Before anyone suggests sour grapes, I purchased my 116500 LN white dial from the same AD. They have been good to me.)
Anyway, it is a beautiful watch as-is, but I would prefer a truer red and blue under sunlight.

I wonder how many BLRO your AD has handled

Seems like the same colors to me and this reference more than any, seems to be the most sensitive to light conditions when photographed

Yeah this has been mentioned before. The newer BLRO bezels have slightly deeper, more saturated color. It’s very subtle though. Here’s a comparison shot from someone I know... WG BLRO a few years old, SS from October.

The color differences are very minor, but I do like the darker SS BLRO. Can't wait until I finally get mine!

I think the OP is asking if the newest SS Pepsi bezels are more saturated than the first SS Pepsi bezels issued earlier this year.

I think so, too.

And I'm going to say I don't think so.

I was not disappointed when I was presented with one. Straight to the wrist.... the hype is real but for good reason.

I think it all depends on the lighting.
I can't say that I can notice a difference between my WG and SS.

The bezel colors play tricks according to color surroundings. For example, under the same light if I set the watch right next to the green rolex box or on top of it, it will look more purple. Changing to a lighter background it will look more blue and darker. Same with the red. Enjoy the different shade variations this is one watch with different personalities !!

One other thought I had is that perhaps the subtle difference between WG and SS plays into how the bezel colors are perceived ...

no this is definitely not the case. Last weekend I was at my AD and held my august BLRO next to a new one from december, we've compared from every angle with different light and there is absolutely a difference between the two. The new one being harder (brighter) en a darker kind of red and blue.

Definitely lighting and surrounding color conditions make the bezel color seem different. On my CHNR there's an angle where I can't tell which is CH and which is NR unless I concentrate.

Looks like bezel font is larger and lighter in color

Trust me, they are different in person. It is subtle but the difference is real and not imagined

I believe it, although it seems the newer bezels present a slightly deeper, more intense version of the same colors; the colors themselves haven't changed.
