Thanks for the photo.

Not sure what to make of “Marina Militaire” paired with “Panerai Submersible” on the same dial.....

It's not bad looking at all. I read on Monochrome that this dial variant is limited to only 33 pieces and buyers have the option of training with Comsubin members (Italian Navy) included with the purchase. That's an interesting addition!

I might be in the minority, but I find this to be a continuation of the “what Panerai is doing wrong” trend. Whereas I feel the BMG was a new and interesting take on the Submersible with a great dial and new case material, this is just a Carbotech recycle with faux history.

I personally feel Panerai needs to rework and streamline their regular production models across the 5 cases lines. So far it looks like they are just continuing to bloat things we’ve already seen at absurd prices.

Since the comsubin training is optional, can I get 50% off if I decided not to do the navy training thing?

You get 50% off if you take the 979 instead of one of the thirty-three 961’s with military experience.

As Cru said above the article says:
A non-limited edition without the experience and white indexes instead of khaki green – ref. PAM00979 – will also be available at EUR 19,900.

could be a lot higher if they opted to produce 3 instead of 33 pieces.

I think these new paerai experience watches are actually an amazing idea, and dear god if I could afford one, I sure would (probably the one to the polar ice flows). It's a great idea to pear something unique with such a once in a lifetime experience, and its so limited, that it doesn't have to appeal to a ton of people. 15? 19? thats the perfect number. this is brilliant marketing.

So is there a new Bronzo or not? I've seen one picture on Facebook but that's it.

Thanks for all your efforts and excellent photos! Fortunately, I am quite satisfied with my collection as it is, but they seem to have a remarkable number of new models.
