I did it!! Rolex 116710LN to 126710BLRO Conversion
I know to most this wouldn't make any sense but to me it was more about the journey and the excitement.
Given the frustration finding a new SS PEPSI GMT at retail, I decided to embark on this journey after I was lucky enough to find a WG Pepsi bezel. I ended up buying a 116710LN and decided to convert it into a 126710BLRO. I was able to source all genuine parts including GMT Dial, GMT Red Hand, and Genuine 69200 Jubilee Bracelet. Luckily everything went in without a hiccup thanks to the great guys at @Rolliworks. Mike and Sal are just great!! I am so glad that they are local and I can go bug them anytime. Their new facility is spectacular! The watch ended up costing me more than the retail and sure it wasn't much of a savings compared to what they are selling for in the grey market, well maybe a couple of grand, but at the end of the day there is story to this watch and to me that is worth it. On to the pictures

Now you just need the dial with the coronet between swiss and made, new movement, and a new case and you will be all set.

Very interesting, thanks for sharing!
Out of curiosity, did you need custom springbars to fit the 69200 bracelet? If not, which ones did you use? |

And you have parts to sell, I assume, lowering your "all in" investment?

You do need 1.5mm spring bars.

You do know that the only "real" maxi case pepsi is the 116719.

Interesting solution to not being able to get one at a decent price. Looks good. The purists are going to have a coronary over it.

Not sure how I feel about this to be honest!
I personally prefer a Rolex to be original from Geneva... Cheers, Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

How did the WG bezel and/or insert fit the SS case? Apparently impossible to do according to Rolex.

That’s pretty cool
I guess that if you learn how to swap things yourself, you pretty much have two watches in one |

You need to return it back to original immediately. This is such shameful horological behavior!!! But honestly that is fantastic....I am tempted to change my bracelet...

i dont know if its a financially interesting endeavor, but definitely an intriguing project with a nice end result. If you're happy with the end result, that's all that matters really
Great educational forum material though! thanks for sharing

My question: how and where did you source a new 69200 jubilee bracelet??? I'd love one for my LN...
