I have for sale a Patek Philippe Grand Complication perpetual calendar chronograph 3970J second series from 1989 with waterproof screw down back.

The first and second series feature off-white/cream dials, leaf hands and batton markers, all of which make these watches highly attractive and desirable.

Production numbers for the first (100 approx.) and second (600 approx.) are also important to consider, making them extremely collectible.

The watch is in overall excellent condition only showing light signs of wear. The watch runs perfectly and keeps excellent time.

The watch was originally purchased brand new on Bond Street in London and passed from one collector to another.

The watch comes with box, original papers, and instruction manual. The watch features a solid caseback which is typical for early 3970s and has its original tang buckle and original Patek Philippe strap.

Important EXTRAs include: JPM Light grain leather strap + 2 additional OEM Patek Straps (Black and Tan Crocodile each are $500+ and are excellent condition) + OEM Deployant Yellow Gold Clasp ($2000 value) purchased brand new from AD myself.

I have enjoyed the watch tremendously and am parting with it for another grail and I am offering the watch at a “collector price” and hope it finds a good home.

Selling at $82,500 or OBRO included Fedex Overnight Shipping in US insured with Parcel Pro. Will take certain trades (Rolex and Patek steel complete sets).

Please keep the inquiries and offers coming. My understanding is this is the cheapest 2nd series 3970 on the market at the moment. If you do not want the deployant or extra straps and just want the original set, please use a price of $80,000
