Jacek Kozubek

Has opened www.tropicalwatch.com Not sure if there's a physical location.

As expected, there are some very nice pieces for sale! I know there are a lot of fans here.

Yes, he left a couple of months ago to start his own thing, he took some well deserved time off in-between and launched his new venture today.

Holy Smokes - some beauties there.

I would have like less florid and more straightforward language in certain descriptions. A service dial is now a “newer SWISS only dial”.

Yup. Why work for The Man when you're The Man? Best of luck to Jacek in his new endeavour.

At least for now he doesn’t under Tropical Watch since a Seiko fan and a seller in Florida have those names on IG.

Well at least we now know who was responsible for the ridiculous dial descriptions at HQ Milton over the years

“The Gloss is the Boss”
“Copper Sparkle Fade”
“Dirty Serti”
“Ghost Chocolate”

I'm finding the descriptions refreshingly honest.

"The deep end of the weird pool" referring to the Serti dial Sub is outstanding.

Couldnt agree more. Very honest and transparent when it came to asking about some watches he had for sale.

100%. In discussing his watches, there were a couple of times he told me ‘based on what you’re looking for, I wouldn’t buy this watch. Wait for the next one.’

I always thought his dial descriptions were intended as a tongue in cheek joke. "lava dial" "Stardust dial". Unfortunately the public took those names and ran with them as though they were something special.

He has always been very honest with me. Great guy to deal with.
