Icon2 SOLD: JDM Seiko Golden Tuna 7C46-7008

The 7C46-7008 was the last of the true quartz Golden Tunas, a line that started with the world's first quartz saturation diver in 1978 – as worn by James Bond in For Your Eyes Only – and ended with the 7C46-7008, which was discontinued around 2006.

Condition

This Japan Domestic Market (JDM) Golden Tuna from 1999 is in excellent condition, and has just received a new five-year battery and pressure test at the official Seiko Service Centre in Hong Kong.

The gold-colored titanium nitride coating is fully intact on the bezel, case and crown, with very light caseback marking, and the ceramic shroud is also in great shape.

Dial and hands are in perfect shape and the lume is typically strong.

The original titanium buckle and keeper are fitted to a supple new Bonetto Cinturini 284 in the original style. The original rubber Seiko DAL1BZ will also be included.

The 7C46 movement is currently gaining only about one second per week. The quickset day + date function works as it should, with optional Japanese Kanji and English days.

Although the case is a large 49mm, the lugless design means it sits well on most wrists. See below for a 6.5-inch wrist shot.

Facts & Figures

Production date: March 1999.
Case width: 49mm.
Height: 16mm.
Lug width: 22mm.
Movt: Quartz 7C46 with quickset day/date.
Crystal: Hardlex.
Weight: 114g.

Price is US$1,950 plus DHL shipping.

Bank wire is preferred, but Paypal is also fine, with the family & friends option, if you have references, or if I know you.

Please just shoot me a PM if you’re interested. Questions are always welcome, and will be answered asap.
