FS: Panerai 196 Daylight Chronograph

For Sale: Panerai 196 Daylight Chronograph $5750.00

I purchased this watch brand new from my local Panerai dealer on 5/31/2006. My name is on the warranty card. So the watch has a long time left on the warranty. The watch is H series number 13xx/1500. Everything that came with the watch is included, all boxes, paperwork, cards, etc. Original straps are a Panerai brown croc with deployment clasp and the standard Panerai black rubber strap. Neither of the original bands have ever been worn. The little pen pusher for the date is included as well. You can see everything in the pictures below. I am also including a total of 4 extra aftermarket straps in various different colors.

The watch is in excellent condition with very little wear. The crystal is perfect, the bezel is perfect, the case back is perfect. The left side where the date pusher is located has a few very light minor surface stratches. They are so light I couldn't even get them to show in the photographs. Needless to say this watch works perfect as you expect from a watch that is 2 months old. Watch size is 44mm.

I am selling to recoup funds for a Rolex that I just bought. I am sad to have to part with this awesome watch but finances dictate that I can only keep 1 expensive watch.

The price of $5750.00 will include overnight shipping anywhere in the USA. Sorry but I will not ship outside of the USA. Payment is by bank wire only. I have TZ watch purchase and sale references available and have a feedback rating of over 500 on eBay under my username w4rmk.

It's a beauty. If I were in the market for a PAM, I would certainly consider it. But I'm not, so I won't.

That's the first time I've seen Panerai packaging. Very nice!

For the price point of SS Panerais... the packaging is second to none in the watch world, IMHO.

Not to start an argument here Johnny, but packaging really means nothing to me. The watch will never be in it, and if it is, I wouldn't put it on display either. Ok they have a nice box, but if it affected the price of the watch of ANY company, I could do without it. Just MHO pal.

No I totally understand. BUT... when you pay that much for a nice watch, it's icing on the cake when it comes well packaged with a few extras (like an extra strap and screw driver). You should see some of the boxes that limited edition pannies come in. Or check out a VC or PP box. Outstanding!

But bottom line is, 99% of most watch boxes sit in closets.

Of course we don't buy them for the boxes, but I agree with you John that the box a watch company supplies with their watch IMO shows what "they" think oif their own product in a way.

Now this is something that more companies should pay attention to.
