Rolex president 228235

Looking to buy a Rolex president band 228235 with a chocolate dial and rose gold band. I have called 5 or 6 Rolex dealers within a 4 hr drive from my house to look at this combination and there are none in stock and have to order. I love the pictures on the internet but would like to see one in person before making my choice. Has anybody seen this combination and If so I would really like to hear your opinion.

That reference hasn’t been available in store for a long time. The demand is through the roof on the RG DD40s in chocolate and olive dial. Either dial choice is incredible in person.

There are a few on Chrono where you can click and zoom in or you can search for Day Date on TRF, there’s a topic about ‘show your DayDate’ or so and it has all TRF members’ DayDates.

Thanks! Didn't realize that the chocolate dial was in that high of demand. I knew the Olive was the current craze on the 40's and bringing a premium.

Not sure what the problem is. If you really wanted this watch you could have it on your wrist in a matter of days.

I saw both RG with Chocolate dial and Olive dial in person, both are very gorgeous.

I am on the waitlist for Olive dial.

Olive dial for me, but the romans are hard to read and will get some getting used to. If you want baguettes I would do the chocolate

He wants opinions on colors since he has to order it without seeing it in person.

I liked it a lot

Olive wasn’t yet released when I bought mine
But I chocolate blends well with my skin tone

Welcome to the forum

Both dials are gorgeous with the rose gold bracelet. You can’t go wrong!

With a DD rose gold chocolate dial you cannot go wrong.
I personally like more the sunray finish dial with roman numbers (the one posted just above); I see it more exclusive and elegant compared to the diagonal motif dial with baton indexes (sorry not to mention the baguette diamond indexes but diamond dial for men is not my cup of tea).

Ya kinda. A tough choice

I was ready to get
A Yelllow gold white motif index at the time

But at the last second changed my mind and went rose (5 years ago)

The Choco and the Olive are the 2 MOST sought after dials for the DD40 in Rose Gold.

I've had both. But kept the Chocolate. I feel the dial color is much richer and goes better with the Rose Gold. In saying that they are both absolutely gorgeous.

Neither of them have been available from an AD for a long while already. Gray dealer is your best bet.

OR get the one with the diamond Baguettes. Its freakin sooooooooooo nice as well
