Which Daytona 116515LN?
I am possibly leaning towards a Daytona 116515LN as my next piece, assuming I can get one from my AD. I'm not sure which dial config to go for though. It is really a toss up between the black dial with rose subdials or the rose dial with black subdials.
I feel that the black dial has a bit of a starker look, maybe even a bit more masculine. But in some photos, I feel that it may have a little to much black going on (bezel, dial, strap). The rose dial looks like it offers a bit more "pop". In addition, my other sport watches (Sub, GMT) have black dials, so this could also put more contrast in my small collection. I do like the chocolate dial too, but after some thought, I've eliminated it from consideration. I already have the GMT CHNR, so I don't want another watch that has brown tones in it. Thanks for any suggestions/feedback! |

Agreed. This dial is (IMO) the best looking of all the OF Daytonas and perhaps the best looking PM Rolex.

I was on the fence about getting the RG blk dial, but that first pic might have pushed me over the edge.

Black by miles. The rose gold looks washed out and lacks the sharp contrast IMHO.

I think it also depends on how easily you want to tell time- does it need to be practical, in addition to looking stunning? If making a statement is what you want, no bad choice. OTOH, having a CHNR wouldn’t stop me from getting a chocolate dial on my RG Daytona!
I’m hoping to eventually acquire a WG OF Daytona, after having seen one in person (sold before I could snag it). I originally wanted the RG, but I frequently wear short sleeves at work, & I don’t savor the attention I would garner with that PM. Really, do we all realize how fortunate we are to obsess about this, instead of our family/work/finances? We are truly blessed. |

Black for me. Rose is a bit flashy, you don’t want too much of it

I’m thinking between these two as well. I don’t think you can go wrong either way, but black looks amazing.
