Zirconium owes its affectionate name – «gentle metal» – to healthcare professionals. It is them and military-industrial complex specialists who have contributed to soaring popularity of this metal. Thanks to it being completely biologically inert, zirconium is widely used in nuclear industry, medicine, neurosurgery and dentistry.
