Rolex produced some very iconic chronographs over the years. The so called Daytona was introduced in 1965 while the name finally appeared on the dial. During the 80s, the five digit reference surfaced with a much different automatic caliber 4030 based on the famous Zenith El Primero 400. This specific Rolex Daytona reference 16523 is the very first produced by rolex and bares the very rare Floating dial and the correct bezel
