Rolex 16233 R Datejust White Stick Dial Holes Case Jubilee Steel 18K Yellow Gold
For sale is an excellent condition 36mm stainless steel and 18 karat yellow gold Rolex Datejust. The 16233 is a R766,xxx serial, circa 1988, and is accompanied by a Rolex travel pouch.
The Rolex features a brushed steel case, which is accented by a fixed yellow gold fluted bezel. The Datejust is mounted on its original stainless steel and 18 karat yellow gold 62523H Jubilee bracelet, which is secured by a deployant clasp. The bracelet is stamped with a “M9” clasp code, which correlates with a production date of September 1988. The bracelet contains 21 full size links and will comfortably fit a 7.5 inch wrist. The Jubilee bracelet is free of any noticeable signs of wear and is in 85% condition.The Rolex features a white dial with applied polished yellow gold stick hour markers, polished gold luminous hands, and a magnified date window aperture at 3 o’clock. The dial and hands both use Super-LumiNova luminescence, and were fitted to the watch when the previous owner sent it to Rolex for a factory service. The movement used in the 16233 is the Rolex Calibre 3135, which features a power reserve of approximately 48 hours. The case has stood the test of time well and contains minimal signs of previous wear. The lugs are still thick and sharp, while the flutes on the bezel are extremely crisp. The bracelet remains in 85% condition, while the coronet on the clasp is extremely crisp, and appears to be unpolished. Overall the Rolex is in excellent condition and is an honest crisp example of a holes case 16233 Datejust, with the only sign of previous wear being some surface level hairline scratches.
