The Fishy Dealer, the Unconditional Helper and the Trusted Seller - Contemporary tale
Once upon a time, when the kingdom was still free from viruses and wars, there was a Fishy Dealer, advertising a beautiful 1665 with "original dial and hands set offering a light and even cream patina".
And how enchanted the Stupid Buyer was, when bearing in the flesh the beautiful specimen with the even hues! But the Stupid Buyer had no UV light at hand and thus bought the beautiful specimen without checking the lume. Shame on you, Stupid Buyer ! Sometime later, the Stupid Buyer eventually realized the hands had a coat of paint instead of the sacred holy tritium. Sad, snivelling and sobbing, the Stupid Buyer seeked advice from the Unconditional Helper (Xeramic). Then came the Trusted Seller, (Jay-Jay) referred by the Unconditional Helper to the Stupid Buyer. And the Trusted Seller found in his stash a beautiful set of correct hands for the Stupid Buyer, that lived happily ever after! |

I’ve had a few ups and downs with PC at EW, myself. Nothing that wasn’t finally sorted out, but definitely some lazy selling on his part.

Nicely done.
That was quite a read, though. You could have just said, "I got some replacement hands." |
