Tudor fabric straps
Does anyone know if you can get a different Tudor fabric strap than the one that is available for your watch?
I have a BB GMT but would like to get the blue strap from the BB blue. I think that would be a beautiful combo. Thanks! |

I'd like to know as well, the straps are beautiful. Last I checked, they sold for big bucks, like $300+. I wonder if you can somehow get them directly from the manufacturer like you can with JLC straps. I'm sure Tudor isn't weaving these themselves.

I’m hoping someone here with knowledge would be able to comment. The straps aren’t available on the Tudor website like it is on omegas. |

Tudor fabric straps
Your mileage may vary friend but my AD allows me to order the straps. Have you tried asking them? Since they are in the same family of watches I don’t see why not?

I have bought such straps at the AD. They have the speingbars sewn in so the case would need to be the same size and lug width for the straps to interchange. IMHO they are worth the asking price.

Here you go..
Inside The Manufacture: A Visit To The Tudor Strap-Making Factory And yes, you can find them up for sale every now and then. Just have to keep an eye out in the Classifieds section. |

What are the quality like on these straps? Are they anything like the omega NATO's?

I have no experience with Omega straps but according to the article i linked to above, the fabric straps were made in France on antique shuttle looms by the same folks who made liturgical vestments for the Vatican. |

I ordered a black one for my blue black bay. I wanted to keep the blue one that came with it in new condition. My local AD is Date and Time in Sudbury MA. They had no problem with the fact that my watch was bought elsewhere. And also had no complaints about handing it to me in the package so I could self install. I had the strap in a week for list price of $180.00 including all hardware and clasp. Early on the straps could be ordered sans hardware for 150.00 or so I was told by Dallas RSC. Point being don’t fall for the ridiculous prices on I have seen on EBay or even once or twice on this very forum. As for the straps if you haven’t experienced one you will be blown away by the comfort and quality.

I collected every version I could find. I then sold my black bays but still had like 8 straps. They’ve all sold but 1, it just sits in my closet. They are quite addictive!

Your AD would give a better answer to this good question.

+1 for the Crown & Buckle Chevron nylon straps.
After getting stonewalled by my AD on this same request, I tried the Chevron as it functions almost identically as the Tudor strap, less the sewn in spring bar holes. Just remove the spring bars from the Tudor strap, insert them back into the watch and loop in the Chevon strap as you typically would with a NATO. The Chevron is single pass under the case (nice and slim, just like the Tudor strap) and has a nicely finished buckle with matching adjustable keeper. I’d say it’s 90% of the function/quality for 30% of the price. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

+1 for the Crown & Buckle Chevron, it's a great strap!
It's well made, nicely texture, with stitched ends rather than heat sealed, just like the Tudor straps. The single pass design is slim on the wrist, and adjustable, just like the Tudors. Also the hardware is of good quality. For the price I think they're great. |
